I recently spoke with G. Deffenbaugh, Tax Attorney, about possibilities for tax liability in a business transaction on behalf of a senior in my family. Mr. Deffenbaugh was very helpful.
He asked me specific questions, listened well, and asked me follow-up questions to ensure a deeper understanding of our family’s situation.
Mr. Deffenbaugh discussed the relevance of broad considerations, as well as finer points we need to consider.
While we spoke, he cited specific income bands and noted potential next steps. I learned at least one course of action to avoid, based on the specific needs of a family member.

I learned that there are trade-offs for various options, and I was able to take new information to my family. I was very happy to have found Mr. Deffenbaugh, and I am sure we can move ahead more wisely. We may ask Mr. Deffenbaugh to draw up legal documents, or to further explain pros and cons of two options.

Like the saying goes, “What you don’t know can hurt you.” I found Mr. Deffenbaugh to be knowledgeable, approachable, and attentive. I recommend that others call or meet with Mr. Deffenbaugh to get legal and tax information.
